Serving as faculty lead, John directed a team of faculty and students to conceptualize, design, construct, transport and exhibit a zero-energy, Passive House Certified, fully storm-resilient home.
Initially conceived as a response to the Superstorm Sandy event, the award winning home has garnered international attention and is currently being commissioned as a public educational exhibition at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, as well as the subject for the international book Sustainable + Resiliency published by AD/ Wiley, London (2017).
